Bonne Année!

Today is the last day of 2010.

2010 was CONSIDERABLY better than 2009, but it was a year of struggles, of hard lessons, of finding God in dark places and recognizing the blessings that seem to pass by me unnoticed.

2010 was the year I got my husband back from war.

It's been a year of enlightenment; of learning more about myself and about my God.

It was a year of stepping out of my circumstances and praising the God that IS faithful even when I do NOT deserve it.

It will also be a year of (admittedly sporadic) blogging as of January 6! Doesn't seem like it's been that long...

As I've been unintentionally referring to it in conversation, I'm considering 2011 to be a year of hope. I'm entering this year hopeful and optimistic. I'm not letting my situations define me or control me. I will continue to delve deeper into God's living Word and learn even more about the hope we have in Christ, the best hope of all. I am determined to live with HOPE instead of feeling so hopeless.

I hope you all enjoy the ringing in of the new year!
